Presidential

C. da Silva, the port producer of Presidential, is a traditional Portshipper dating back to 1862 with cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. The port wines come from their own Quinta in the Douro (Quinta dos Avidagos) and are also marketed internationally under the name DALVA. Reputed for the high quality Tawny (Aged and Colheita) and the very good price-quality ratio in the characteristic belly bottle. Female winemaker Ana Doro Beiroco has been guarding the elegant house style for 25 years.

Presidential’s port comes from traditional grape varieties of the demarked region of the Douro, such as the Tinta Barroca, the Tinta Cão, the Touriga Nacional, the Tinta Roriz and the Touriga Francesa. The port is produced in the traditional way, with the addition of brandy to stop fermentation, after which it is stored in oak barrels to mature.

Presidential port is one of the ten most imported port brands in the United States.
