Late Bottled Vintage
The Late Bottled Vintage port is actually intended to be a Vintage Port wine, but due to lack of interest, the wine matures between 4 and 6 years in oak barrels and are then bottled. Most are then ripe for drinking. The label indicates the vintage and the year of bottling. The LBV is juicy, firm and deliciously sweet with a fruity aroma. A Late Bottled Vintage is delicious with spicy and blue cheeses and with chocolate desserts.
