Made from a blend (mixture) of over 30 different indigenous grape varieties. All the grapes are carefully selected and footed in lagares for five days until brandy is added to stop fermentation. The juice was then aged for 19 months in old port barrels, after which the wine was bottled.
Tasting notes:
This is a well-balanced and delicious Vintage Port, with aromas of dark plums and mint chocolate. Full and ripe tannins provide maturity to this young Port.
Dark red colour with light edge. Complex, broad aroma of dark berries, also some spice. Taste is full of dark berries, smooth, elegant, powerful, good tannins. A little dry towards the end. Medium length aftertaste.
Lovely nose, youthful blue fruit. Silky entry, fruit dominates over big tannins; wonderful structure.
Purple color, muted nose that is very floral, with lots of grapefruit. Grapefruit palate, sweet fruit and bold tannins that just won’t let go. A massive wine. Tannic tingling dominates the finish.
